Kenny Chesney! Kenny's concerts, music streaming and publishing put him at the top of Billboard's list of top music money makers in country music and #2 overall, just behind queen Taylor Swift. The success of Chesney's Big Revival Tour put $38 million in his bank account from touring, alone. Plus $1.1 million in sales, $239,600 in streaming, $313,200 in publishing. Just behind Kenny in the country format, and ranking 7th in all genres was Luke Bryan who is country music’s number 1 streaming act with 667 million streams in 2015. Jason Aldean followed taking home 18.9 million. Shania Twain was next, thanks to the success of her comeback tour, proceeded by Florida Georgia Line, Eric Church, Brad Paisley and Toby Keith.
But a tip of the hat to Mr. Chesney for staying relevant and drawing millions to see him year after year, now 22 years into his touring career. His shows are events in the truest sense, and have become a New England tradition. He intentionally saves Gillette Stadium for last tour stop every year, calling it a "special place." He added, "we named the No Shoes Nation at Foxborough, We’ve sold out 13 shows over eight years, and the heart, strength and passion of the people of Boston is what inspired me to start the Spread the Love Fund after the Boston Marathon bombing. Here’s to two rocking nights with some of my dearest friends in one of my favorite places in the world.”
