On my way into work today, I struggled with how I was going to approach my job today. Normally, I'm just concerned with making things fun, entertaining and informing. I give away tickets, talk to people about what they are doing, what they want to hear and make light of everything, because life is heavy enough. Life got a lot heavier over the weekend with the tragedy in Orlando. So many innocent lives taken. It's hard to understand that kind of hatred and anger. And, it's hard find a healing place. A place in your heart you can feel normal again. Feel like you can move on, but respectfully remember. It's a balance that is needed to carry on.
We all find that balance with the help of love. Love of our family, friends, home and purpose. And it came to me, clear as this sparkling blue-sky day...Music is love. Music heals. And I am privileged to bring you some healing, in a small way, every day. So, I put my headphones on, and press play for you. For me. For Orlando. For the world. May we all find peace in our hearts and music in our souls.
Brothers Osborne paid a musical tribute to those innocent lives lost, with their version of "Go Rest High On That Mountain"...it was stunningly beautiful.
@brothersosborne God bless you Gentlemen. Thank you!! Good Sunday #PrayForOrlandopic.twitter.com/kcdUwZEcBA
Passing on some other posts from some of our favorite artists spreading the message of music and love:
A magical day despite current tragedies. I'll never apologize for what I do because I was put here to be a transistor. Love always wins out.

This "throwback" came to mind today. Check out Martina McBride's "Anyway."

And how appropriate that the number one song in the country right now is "Humble And Kind" from Tim McGraw. It's the right message, at the right time.
