There is much ado about Cassidy Black Bentley. First, the title of Dierks' latest album is Black. Coincidence? Then the title track, currently a hit on Country 102.5, has a video featuring Mrs. Bentley. That is the first time she has appeared in a Dierks video. Now comes the word that she has officially qualified for this year's running of the Boston Marathon. This is her second running of the historic marathon. Cassidy first qualified and ran Boston in 2014. The 41 year old has been busy training and Dierks has been busy posting updates on her training, like this one.
Nice view! Red rocks and #cassrunsboston17. She ran 51 miles this week. Over the training hump. Little break from #acm prep.. back at it now
According to The Tennessean, Black-Bentley is raising money for a shelter in Nashville to help homeless families. She first became involved in the shelter, after meeting a mother who was homeless in the making of Dierks' video for "Riser." She began running about 11 years ago, keeping her busy while Dierks was on the road. Good luck to Cassidy this Marathon Monday. We'll be rooting for you!
