Kenny Chesney Asks Fans For Prayers

Kenny Chesney took to his Instagram account yesterday to ask fans to pray for people in the islands.

Chesney, who's no stranger to vacationing in the islands, included a photo showing widespread devastation as a result of Hurricane Irma.

Prayers are still needed as Hurricane Irma heads towards the United States, possibly striking South Florida.

According to USA Today, if Irma remains a category 5 hurricane, it would become the fourth hurricane in history to make landfall in our nation.

While experts are still uncertain of Irma's exact path, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas have all declared a state of emergency.

According to WRAL, current projections indicate the hurricane is expected to arrive in Florida in the early hours of Sunday morning. If Irma follows the predicted path, it will make its way to South Carolina by 2 a.m. on Tuesday.
