Catch New England's homegrown country music talent here! And find out where to catch them live and locally.

Meet: Kevin Herchen

Kevin Herchen

Kevin is an award winning singer/songwriter from Warwick, RI. He has literally been playing guitar before he could spell it! He played with the jazz ensemble in high school, winning several awards including, best guitar soloist the Berklee College Jazz Festival. He formed a rock band in college, joined another band briefly before setting out on a solo acoustic career where he really refined his songwriting. Now, Kevin Herchen can be seen all over New England performing his brand of country rock. You may have caught him at the Country 102.5 Parking Lot Party at the Xfinity Center this summer, before the Toby Keith concert.

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, Charles Kelley, John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan have all played a part in influencing Kevin's unique style. He has had the pleasure of opening shows for the legendary folk group, The Kingston Trio, plus Nashville recording artist Darren Bessette Band and #1 songwriter ("Love Me Like You Mean It") Lance Carpenter. Herchen's talent and hard work were rewarded last year when he won the WPRI Rhode Show Big Break Contest. Kevin's music was featured in a commercial that aired on the TV station during the season finale of American Idol!
