Meet Scarlett Drive, an accomplished 6 piece country rock band from Boston and Worcester.

They open their mouths to sing and you immediately know this band has been harmonizing together for some time. There is a chemistry, a comfortableness, an instantaneous sense of "gel" and refinement upon hearing their voices. Scarlett Drive has been performing around New England since 2009. Their love of music, people and good times have driven this band. I asked lead singer, Chris Martin to describe their sound and he said, "imagine what would happen if Little Big Town, ZZ Top and Bad Company had children together." I'm still thinking about that one. This band is made up of "teachers, entrepreneurs, parents, engineers and occasional pseudo-rockstars...we are family," explained Martin. And it shows.

Drive Time

Meet Chris, Andria, Ashleigh, Josh, Tim and Ron. Their biggest influences range from Joe Walsh to Maren Morris, Huey Lewis, Heart, Def Leppard and Little Big Town. They came up with their name starting with Scarlett, because it sounded soulfully vintage. Drive naturally followed. The band recently drove to the Country 102.5 studios to perform live for us. When I tell you the moment they sang in harmony, jaws dropped, I wouldn't be exaggerating. Take a listen to their original song, "If You Wanna."

Here's the studio recording of Scarlett Drive's "If You Wanna."
