Catch Of The Week: Kate Cameron

Meet Kate Cameron, a Duxbury native, Berklee College of Music graduate, and now Nashville singer/songwriter.

She's soul to the core, country at heart, and Boston brawn and brains. Kate delivers a song like a soul artist, she can't help it, it's innate. But at the heart of her writing, and her skilled musicianship, is a country girl. This country girl earned her Boston stripes gigging all over town while in high school and college. Now she calls Nashville home and has been a sought-after talent and songwriter the past couple of years there. It doesn't hurt that she rooms with another very talented singer/songwriter from Boston, who was the Catch of the Week, last week! Carly Tefft is Kate's good friend, roommate and sometimes co-writer and performer. Kate taught herself to play guitar at age 11 and started writing songs then. She also is self taught on keyboard and mandolin. Cameron cites her biggest influences as Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Aerosmith and Ed Sheeran. You may have seen her at some Country 102.5 events! Kate did our Jason Aldean pre-party show, as well as opening slots for Zac Brown Band, Thomas Rhett, Miranda Lambert, Garth and many more.
