Kenny Chesney Sends His Private Jet To Rescue Boys Following Hurricane Irma
Kenny Chesney is a darn good guy, though that shouldn’t surprise anyone.
The country megastar was pivotal in reuniting two teen brothers with their mother in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma recently, according to Billboard. The two boys, Jah-Haile and Jahbioseh Bruce, had been living with their grandfather on St. John in the Carribean when Irma made landfall and destroyed the home. After being shuttled around from island to island with other evacuees, it became clear that the best and safest place for them would be with their mother in Philadelphia. All commercial flights in and out of the area had been canceled, however, leaving the boys stranded.

That’s where an anonymous donor offered the use of his private jet to get the boys to Philly. It was soon learned that the donor was none other than Kenny Chesney. It’s not clear when or how Kenny learned about the boys’ situation, but reports suggest his offer to help was immediate.

Kenny’s own home was destroyed by the storm and he’s been closely involved in the recovery effort in the islands. Learn more here about his Love For The City Foundation, which is raising funds to deal with Irma’s aftermath. Recent posts on Kenny’s social media accounts also suggest he’s working on a music project to assist with the effort.
