Midland: New Single Is The Flip Side Of “Drinkin’ Problem”
Fresh off a their No. 1 song “Drinkin’ Problem” and the release of their debut album On The Rocks, Midland is riding pretty high these days. So what’s next? Something very different.
Midland’s new single is “Make A Little,” the polar opposite of the recent No. 1. “Actually, if you just play ‘Drinkin Problem’ backwards on your record player, it’s ‘Make A Little,” lead singer Mark Wystrach jokes.

“And much, much faster,” quips the trio’s Jess Carson. “They’re two different sides of the coin. ‘Drinkin’ Problem,’ obviously, is a bit of a tongue-in-cheek song that is about a darker place, whereas ‘Make A Little’ is the brighter, flip side to that; kind of a commentary on what’s going on in the world and ‘let’s just forget about it and make some love.'”
