Rising star Carly Pearce is on the road with Brett Young these days as part of his Caliville Tour and she’s savoring every moment.

The “Every Little Thing” singer has known Brett for some time, so being a part of his tour came naturally. “What makes this tour so special for me and probably for him is that we met running the circuits of Nashville doing the writer’s rounds and playing house concerts,” she says through her record label. That means she heard Brett’s hits “In Case You Didn’t Know” and “Like I Loved You” in acoustic, intimate settings before she heard them anywhere else. “I remember thinking, number one, ‘Oh my gosh this guy is so cute,'” she continues. “And number two, ‘Oh my gosh he’s so unbelievably talented as a songwriter and as a lyricist and as a vocalist. He has such a special tone to his voice.'”

Touring with Brett, therefore, is a full-circle moment. “I’m so proud of him for all the success that he’s had,” Carly continues. “And I remember him telling me that he was getting signed to a Big Machine and I was slightly jealous inside. Now to have it come full circle and for me to be a part of [Big Machine], too, and now to tour together, it’s just gonna be really fun.”
