Country Radio Station Comforts Listeners In Wake of Las Vegas Shooting

BOSTON (CBS) - "They want to talk because there's comfort in human interaction," that's what country music DJ Carolyn "Cruiser" Kruse told WBZ-TV about the WKLB listeners calling in Monday. In the wake of the Las Vegas shooting at a country music festival, WKLB listeners wanted to request songs, some sad and some uplifting.

Country 102.5 holds on-air moment of silence for Las Vegas shooting victims

BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston's local country music station WKLB Country 102.5 paid tribute to the victims of the Las Vegas concert shooting Monday afternoon with a moment of silence on air. "Usually, silence on the radio is something that would never be heard, never be done," said afternoon DJ Kevin Kennedy.
