Luke Bryan Scores Another No. 1 Album Debut With What Makes You Country
Luke Bryan has done it again. The country superstar has scored yet another No. 1 with his latest album What Makes You Country.
The Georgia native’s sixth full-length project premiered this week at the top of both the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts with sales of 108,000, according to the publication. Further, it’s Luke’s third consecutive album to debut at No. 1 on the Top 200 and his fifth No. 1 debut on the Top Country Albums Chart.

While tops-spot debuts are nothing new for the superstar, they’re still pretty darn special. “So much thought goes into creating new music and I really try to write and find songs that I feel are staying true to me while staying fresh and fun,” he says through his publicist. “I try and imagine people singing along in their cars or with me at my shows. To have What Makes You Country go No. 1 is so exciting and rewarding for me, my team and my fans. It drives me to keep working harder and growing! Thank you so much for these opportunities!”
Luke is enjoying some time off from the road at the moment, but fans can still catch him on television. Look for him on the 40th Annual Kennedy Center Honors when he honors friend and fellow American Idol judge Lionel Richie December 26th on CBS. He’s also a part of CMA Country Christmas, which encores December 21st on ABC. Stay up to date on all things Luke here.
