Carly Pearce On New Year’s Eve: “Ehh, Whatever”
Don’t look for Carly Pearce at any New Year’s Eve parties. The “Every Little Thing” singer is just about over ’em.
There’s too much hype around New Year’s Eve, she’s decided. “I feel like every year it’s just kind of the same deal with my friends,” she says through her record label. “Especially since I’ve had the same group of friends in Nashville for almost seven years now and we kind of do the same thing every year. So it’s never really that exciting.”
“Every Little Thing”
There have been exciting New Year’s Eves, but not necessarily because of the day itself. “One year I went to Cabo,” Carly recalls. “That was pretty fun just ’cause I got to spend it on a beach, but it’s just another day. The older I get the more I’m just like, ‘Ehh whatever.’ I’m sometimes in bed before the ball drops.”
Whatever her holiday plans, Carly has plenty of time to enjoy them. The Kentucky native doesn’t hit the road again until January 12th, when she’ll appear in Des Moines, IA. After that, she’ll open for Blake Shelton on a series of dates that stretch through March. See Carly’s complete touring schedule and buy tickets here.
