We’ve known for years now that Kane Brown was raised by a single mother, but up until this point, we didn’t have any background information about his father.

That all changed recently during a party in Nashville to celebrate “What Ifs” climbing to number one on the charts.

According to Rare Country, during the celebration, Kane’s mother and grandmother were both in attendance, but for the first time, Kane spoke out about his father.

While on stage, Kane admitted he grew up without his dad by his side. He revealed that his father was incarcerated in 1996, and remains in prison to this day.

Over the years, Kane has been very vocal about how hard his mother worked to give him everything she could and to raise him right.

As Kane has quickly become a country music sensation, it’s evident that his mom’s love and support really made a difference in his life and career.
