And that's when it happened. The first American Female Marathon Winner since 1985 crossed the finish line! Her name is Des Linden and if you follow the marathons of the past, her name might ring a bell. In fact, 7 years ago, she lost by a mere 2 seconds! After training her butt off, its all paid off as she rounded the turn with no other runners in sight.
