Lindsay Ell Puts Her Spin On John Mayer’s Song

Lindsay Ell is climbing the charts and making a name for herself with her hit song "Criminal." Now she's taking on a John Mayer song for a cool reason.

According to Rolling Stone, Ell covered some of her favorite songs by John Mayer on the advice of Kristian Bush from Sugarland. While writing her album, Bush suggested to get inspiration from Mayer. That advice ended up changing Ell's album name from The Project to The Continuum Project...using Mayer's Continuum album as part of her own.

Now, Ell has released a cover of one Mayer's hit songs "Dreaming With A Broken Heart," putting her own spin on it.
