The Country Thunder Festival is well underway in Wisconsin, but sadly, a concertgoer was left with serious injuries after a storm rolled in overnight on Thursday.

According to eyewitnesses, the victim, identified as Brittney N. Prehn, 22, was talking on her phone when the device was struck by lightning.

People nearby said the woman was unconscious after the ordeal. Witnesses said the woman's shoe appeared to explode after her phone was struck by the bolt of lightning.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.

The festival will conclude on Sunday, and features country artists such as, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, and Luke Bryan.
