Severe Damage Reported After Tornado Touches Down In Webster

According to a tweet on WCVB’s account, the National Weather Service in Boston has confirmed a tornado did hit Webster this morning.

A possible tornado touched down in Webster, Massachusetts this morning, leaving a trail of destruction in its path.
Prior to the possible tornado touching down, the area had been under a tornado warning.
According to NBC Boston, during the storm, the Uxbridge Fire Department reported that damage to buildings had occurred, and urged neighboring areas to be on alert for the threat of severe weather.
Reports of roof damage, damaged utility poles, and downed trees are still coming in.
Emergency crews are working to restore power to the area after the strong line of storms.
As of this posting, one person has been reported injured during the ordeal — But their injuries are not believed to be serious in nature.
The woman, who was traveling on Main Street at the time the injury occurred, was struck by debri from a nearby building.
