If you use a lot of coconut oil in your diet you may not want to hear this: “it’s one of the worst foods you can eat.”
A Harvard professor gave a speech titled “Coconut Oil and other Nutritional Errors” where she claimed the oil is as bad for your body as “pure poison” due to the damaging effect the saturated fatty acids in the coconut oil can have on you.
In the past coconut oil has been perceived as good for you and even has been labeled as a Superfood. The professor (Dr. Karin Michels) says consuming coconut oil is far worse than consuming lard since the coconut oil is made up of saturated fatty acids.
I was thinking of adding more coconut oil into my diet. I may pump the breaks on those thoughts for the time being now. Food for thought…
