Thank You, Hulu! Veronica Mars Is Officially Coming Back!
Kristen Bell has been around Hollywood for a while now but, before Frozen and long before Bad Moms, she was Veronica Mars. It was 2004 when the teen drama hit the WB. A sarcastic little blonde, with an eye for investigation. Basically, while adults had shows like Law and Order or NYPD Blue, teens had a crime investigation show with an incredibly talented cast and clever writing.
After 3 seasons, Veronica Mars aired it’s series finale in 2007. But, that wasn’t the last of Veronica. The show creator, Rob Thomas (no, not the singer) always had a vision of where she would be years later and in 2014 we were graced with a movie reboot. Typically a reboot like this might seem rather forced and not live up to the original – not in this case. The movie had rave reviews; critics and fans alike were ecstatic for Bell to reprise her role.
Here we are almost 15 years since its debut and today Hulu has officially confirmed – Veronica Mars IS BACK!
This time we don’t just get a couple hours with our favorite private eye, but 8-hour-long episodes that will premiere in 2019. While the movie had a lot of familiar faces from the original cast, so far Bell is the only one who has officially signed on for the reboot.
If you’re hoping to catch up on the first 3 seasons, Hulu also said that they will make all three previous seasons of Veronica Mars available in Summer 2019.
