Kacey Musgraves did tonight what few country stars have: she won the Album of the Year Grammy for her Golden Hour.

Nominated among the likes of Cardi B, Drake, Post Malone and Janelle Monáe, a stunned Kacey took the podium saying, "Oh my God... oh my God,  I don't even know what to say, it was unbelievable even to be in a category with such gigantic albums, really brilliant works of art, it's really crazy."

She went on to say, "But I'm very grateful and winning this doesn't make my album any better than anybody else's in that category. They are all so good and life is pretty tumultuous right now for all of us I feel like it can be, it can feel that way. I feel like because of that art is thriving and it's been really beautiful to see that. Thank you for championing mine."

Musgraves won a total of four Grammys tonight including Best Country Album for Golden Hour, Best Country Song for "Space Cowboy" and Best Country Solo Performance for "Butterflies."

Taylor Swift was the last country artist to win the all-genre Album of the Year for her project Fearless in 2009.
