Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet – CANCELED
After 3 seasons, Santa Clarita Diet has been axed!
A couple of weeks ago when I was all laid up with the flu, I went to Facebook and asked for binging recommendations and this is one show that popped up a number of times. Seemingly a fan favorite. So, what’s the deal, Netflix?!
The show, as AVClub.com describes it: “…the series starred Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant as a pair of dorky parents trying to make the best of Barrymore’s newfound (and insatiable) desire to chow down on human flesh.” Definitely a different take on the, would you call it zombie world?

A spokesperson from Netflix states: “To their endless credit, the incredible Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant were totally game, with an uncanny knack for comedy that brought Sheila and Joel Hammond to vibrant life, even though one of them was undead. We’re grateful to Victor, Drew, and Timothy, along with fellow executive producers Tracy Katsky, Aaron Kaplan, Chris Miller and Ember Truesdell and the terrific cast, including Liv Hewson and Skyler Gisondo, and crew for three hilarious seasons for Netflix members to discover for years to come.”

I only just finished binge-watching #SantaClaritaDiet a week ago and now @netflix have cancelled it. It was by far one of the best original shows they’ve ever made.

But hey, at least we still have 15 year old shows like Friends which definitely can’t be watched anywhere else!!
