Kelly Ripa may be leaving “Live” when her contract is up later this year. She says that she hasn’t decided if she wants to remain with the show after her current contract expires. “Live” just lost its male co-host when Michael Strahan left the show to go to “Good Morning America” and was replaced by Ryan Seacrest. Rumors of tension behind the scenes between Rips and Seacrest have dogged the show since Seacrest returned to hosting American Idol shortly after joining the show. Ripa also hates “The Bachelor”. After it was announced that the current “Bachelorette” Hannah Brown was set to appear on “Live”, Ripa spoke to the New York Post and told them she finds the show “disgusting”. She went on to say “I can’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion. You know how I feel, ladies — we are too special to be arguing over a guy,”
“Game of Thrones” set a new ratings record with Sunday night’s polarizing episode. 18.4 million viewers tuned into the 9PM Broadcast and/or its midnight repeat, more than any other episode in the show’s history. It was also announced by Disney that longtime “Thrones” showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have been hired to direct the next Star Wars movie in 2022. Disney feels it needs a three year hiatus in between this year’s “Episode IX” and the next installment to give “Star Wars” fans a break. They plan on releasing sequels to “Star Wars” and “Avatar”
