Our beloved Super Bowl MVP has an injury and while it’s nothing all that horrible, we want to send our well wishes!

As the New England Patriots start off their training camp, it’s without Julian Edelman. He is going to be sidelined for a few weeks with an injury to his thumb. (Ya ever have an injury to any of your digits? You don’t realize the importance of each of them until you have!)

From our sister station, 98.5 The Sports Hub:

Edelman’s absence at training camp slides everyone else up the active depth chart and opens an opportunity for on-the-bubble inside receivers to prove themselves. Phillip Dorsett and rookie first-round pick N’Keal Harry are likely to get the most looks from Tom Brady for now, but more targets could be coming in the slot for sophomore receiver Braxton Berrios and free-agent addition Maurice Harris, who had a strong minicamp.
