Taylor Swift Announces Festival Shows For ‘Lover’
Taylor Swiftt recently expressed being unsure if she wanted to do big, stadium tours for her new album Lover, but now she’s announcing that she will play select festivals, and, in some cases, will create her own festivals. She went to Instagram to explain her vision:
“For me, the Lover album is open fields and sunsets and SUMMER. I want to celebrate the album and perform it live with you in a way that feels authentic to the music.” She goes on to say, “I want to go to some places I haven’t been, and play festivals for the first time in ages…and where we didn’t have festivals, we made some. Introducing, Lover Fest East and West. Details and additional dates coming soon.”
The festival dates she’s currently announced are in Belgium, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Poland, France, Portugal, and Brazil. All the shows will be in the summer of 2020. There are currently only four shows in the U.S: Lover Fest West will be in Los Angeles at Sofi Stadium for two nights, and Lover Fest East will be two nights in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
