Matt Stell Talks About His “Crazy Ride” and Gold Record
Fresh off his performance at Street Party 2, Matt Stell joined Marissa back in the Foundation Room to talk a little about the experience and his career that has led him to this point.
“This is my first time playing a show in Boston,” Matt told Marissa. “It’s an unbelievable crowd. It’s incredible, and a perfect day for it.”
His success just this year with his hit single “Prayed for You” just hit another milestone, being certified gold by the RIAA just last week.
“If you had told me a year ago that I’d have a gold record and a song in the Top 5, and I’d get to come hang out in Boston and play a show in the shadow of Fenway Park, with like 8,000 people out there, I would have called you a liar,” Matt laughed. “It’s been a crazy ride.”
“We’ll have some new music for you early next year,” said Matt. “Between now and then, it’s gonna be a lot of planes, trains, and automobiles for me!”
