Carly Pearce, Michael Ray Wedding Happening Any Day Now
Carly Pearce and her fiancé, Michael Ray, have had their bachelor and bachelorette parties, and they’ve secured their marriage license, which means the only thing left is the wedding.
Carly explains, “It’s funny to me how many people are guessing when our wedding is. Go look at our calendars and see what’s the one weekend of the year that we’re both off. It’s really not that hard to figure out. It’s very soon and we’re really excited.”
Carly and Michael are each writing their own vows. Despite the fact that she’s a great songwriter, when it came to writing her vows, Carly says, “I found it really hard. I really didn’t expect to find it that hard. I thought, ‘Oh, I know what I want to say. I’m a songwriter. It’ll be great.’ But it was very hard to articulate in a short little piece to this person, where they’ve taken you, what you’ve seen, your promises to them, where you want to go. I mean it was pretty hard for me.”
Since both Pearce and Ray have a special place in their hearts for the Grand Ole Opry, Bill Cody, the voice of the Grand Ole Opry, will be officiating their wedding, and he has agreed to look over each of their vows, to make sure they are a reasonable length.
While the couple have been pretty open about their relationship on social media and have even shared certain details of the wedding, she says, “We’ve tried to keep the wedding private, but it’s a celebration. We really are so in love, and we’re thankful that we get the opportunity to have people who care about our wedding.”
Carly doesn’t think anyone will show up at their wedding or camp out near the venue hoping to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom, but she jokes, “If they do, you know, I’ll give them some wine, it’s fine.”
