Maren Morris took home the coveted Album of the Year honor for Girl, but it was her baby boy that made mom take notice just before she performed at the CMA Awards on Wednesday.
She told us backstage, "Seconds before the curtain lifted and I was gonna do my performance tonight, he started kicking and so it worked out; he's my good luck charm."
As for impending parenthood, Morris said she has gotten advice from Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott about making road life work with a baby.
And she and her husband Ryan Hurd, she shared, "Ryan and I are scared s---less, but we're excited."
