Carrie Underwood And Trisha Yearwood Flawlessly Honor Linda Ronstadt At Kennedy Center!
Last night on CBS-TV (WBZ , Channel 4 here in Boston), the 42nd Kennedy Center Honors celebrated several icons who have “left an indelible stamp on our collective cultural consciousness,” according to Chairman David Rubenstein. The honorees were Earth, Wind & Fire, Sally Field, Sesame Street, Michael Tilson Thomas, and Linda Ronstadt.
In a tribute to music legend, Linda Ronstadt, country stars Carrie Underwood and Trisha Yearwood, each performed. No 2 voices could have better suited the artist than these vocalists. Ronstadt was known for her powerhouse vocals, her ability to sing any genre and her pitch perfection.
Watch as Carrie opens with a flawless rendition of “Blue Bayou,” followed by “When Will I Be Loved.”
