ICYMI: Watch Little Big Town Perform With The Voice Winner Jake Hoot
There’s something about country singers and The Voice audience. There is no denying the connection, and the proof is in the winning. Last night, now in it’s 17th season, Jake Hoot became the show’s sixth country singer to take home the grand prize of $100,000 and a recording contract. The other country winners were Cassadee Pope (Season 3), Danielle Bradbery (Season 4), Craig Wayne Boyd (Season 7), Sundance Head (Season 11) and Chevel Shepherd (Season 15).
Hoot was on Kelly Clarkson’s team, and at his initial blind audition only received one chair turn… that was from Clarkson. Jake is a 31 year old radio sales rep from Cookeville, Tennessee. Our hometown rocker, Ricky Duran from Worcester fell just short of being crowned winner, coming in 2nd in the voting.
There were star studded special guest performances from country stars Lady Antebellum and Luke Combs. Little Big Town hit the stage to sing with Jake Hoot, before he was crowned the winner!
