As we reported on Sunday, Clayton Beathard, 22, brother of singer Tucker Beathard, was killed in the stabbing incident. Beathard graduated from Battle Ground Academy near Nashville and was a member of the football team. A friend of Beathard’s, Paul Trapeni III, 21, was also killed.
Local police said the stabbing incident happened around 3 AM outside the Dogwood Bar after an argument inside the bar over a woman was taken outside.
The Beathard family issued a statement where they said in part, “Clay was an amazing, big and soft-hearted human being with an undeniable love for the Lord. He had his family’s, friends’ and teammates’ backs even to a fault. I wish he would have been more inclined to take the high road but he hated ‘wrong.'”
