Franklin Police Found and Captured this “Thief”
The Franklin, Masachusetts police department couldn’t find out where some of their donated toys escaped to. They were working hard to collect as many toys for the needy this holiday season. But after they looked back at the security footage inside the toy room, they realized that the thief was one of their own!
It was their own therapy dog, Ben Franklin. (You naughty puppy you!)
“When Ben saw the toys, he thought they all belonged to him,” Deputy Chief James Mill told the station.
One of the items taken from the toy area was a baby doll, and they could see Ben Franklin walking around the room with it in his mouth. He tried to run away from the police officers, which led them to the REST of the stash of presents underneath a desk.
Police couldn’t save the toys because of the amount of slobber, but they did replace them and now he’s banned from the toy room until he gets a little older!
“He has the run of the station, and it’s amazing he’s like one of those friends who always shows up at a party that everybody loves,” Mill told the station. “So even if you’re having a terrible day, if Ben walks in, seriously it’s like a ray of sunshine.”
