Donnie Wahlberg Leaves $2020 Tip On $78 Check At IHOP

A waitress at an IHOP in St. Charles, Illinois got a double thrill while working on New Years Day when she got to wait on Donnie Wahlberg and Jennie McCarthy (I mean, who doesn't love a pancake every now and then). The second thrill came when the check was paid. Jennie McCarthy revealed the check on her Instagram, which included a $2020 tip on a $78 check. Along with the tip was the note "Thanks Bethany - Happy New Year - 2020 Tip Challenge" along with a smiley face.

The waitress checked with her manager if this was legit and it was.  "2020 Tip Challenge" refers to a trend which seems to have started in Michigan when Danielle Franzoni, a server at Thunder Bay River Restaurant, was left a $2,020 tip on a $23 bill.
