Grandma Grabs Life By The Horns

There’s a new meaning to grabbing the bull by the horns. And this Midwestern bull is changing lives of people around him! If you’ve never seen a bull riding event…

My First Pro Bull Riding Event

Ayla Brown

There’s a new meaning to grabbing the bull by the horns. And this Midwestern bull is changing lives of people around him!

If you’ve never seen a bull riding event it’s a sight to see. I attended my first one last weekend and was completely blown away by the event, how incredible the sport is, and how well the bulls are treated
They get treated better than the riders and get acupuncture at least once a week.

Anyways, there are some bulls that never made it to the big leagues like PBR, but they have a different purpose in life! For 14 year old, 1-ton pound bull named "Ole" he’s found a job that makes him, and others veryyyy happy.
Ole visits senior centers with his owner, Jason Dent, who is also the rodeo clown, and invites the residents to ride him for a few moments. That’s what happened in Pella, Iowa at the WesleyLife Senior Center.
Residents who choose to live life on the edge, can climb up on the bull, look at the video...it makes them so happy!  (Especially 96 year old Wilma Hoekstra)

So next time you’re wondering if you should get on the bull, yes, do it because you never know when you’re going to have the opportunity in your life!
