According to a new study by wedding planning website The Knot, Massachusetts is one of the most expensive states to get married in. Both Massachusetts and Rhode Island made the Top 5.
According to the study, the total average wedding cost for Massachusetts is $43,600 — the fourth most expensive in the nation. Rhode Island does even worse, coming in at #2 most-expensive in the nation with a total average cost of $49,800. Yikes.
New Jersey had the highest average wedding cost at $53,400, New York was #3 at $48,600 and Connecticut rounded out the Top 5 at $41,000.
Wanna save some $$$? Get married in Utah,which had the lowest average wedding cost at $19,700. Bargain City.
