If you've ever done the plank challenge that was popular a few years ago, where you had to hold plank for 3 minutes, that was seriously challenging.
Former Marine, George Hood is 62 years old and just set a new Guinness World Record for holding plank over 8 hours!
On February 15 George set the record at exactly 8 hours, 15 minutes and 15 seconds. He did it to raise mental health awareness, as he relayed to USA Today, revealing that the physical challenges have reaped mental health benefits.
What's next for Hood? He says he's ready to move on, and start seriously considering working on a push-up record! In fact, shortly after he set the record, George did 75 push-up! Just for fun? This guy is a beast!
Fun fact: The amount of calories George burned planking all day reportedly burned 4,252 calories! (Somebody give this guy a snack and a beer!)
What's the longest you've ever held a plank position?
