Leap Day is coming up this Saturday (February 29th) and because of it there is an extra working day in this calendar year. According to a new poll by YouGov, 60% of people believe workers with an annual salary should be compensated for the additional 8 hours worked. 22% of people say they should not be paid for an additional day of work.
The average yearly income for residents of New England is roughly $59,000 per year, which breaks down to about $227 a day. Who couldn't use an extra couple hundred bucks?
