In honor of what would have been Opening Day for MLB today, here’s a list from Ranker.com of the top vote getters for Red Sox players in history. You can search various lists based on different demographics. It’s interesting to note the different opinions on the top picks from women and men.

Personally, in my lifetime, I’ve most enjoyed watching and rooting for Big Papi, Kevin Millar, Jason Varitek, Curt Schilling, Pedro Martinez, Mookie Betts, Brock Holt, Nomar Garciaparra, Johnny Damon, Tim Wakefield, Jon Lester, Mike Lowell, Andrew Benintendi, Mo Vaughn, Manny Ramirez, Kevin Youkilis, Jonathan Papelbon, Jackie Bradley Jr, Xander Bogaerts, Trot Nixon, Jacoby Ellsbury… I could go on, but I’ll leave it here.
