Chris Stapleton, Tim McGraw and More React To Last Night’s Tornado
Several artists in Nashville have taken to their social media accounts today (2/3) to pray for Nashville after the devastating tornado that struck the city and killed more than 20 people last night.
Tim McGraw: “Many of you have probably seen the iconic ‘I Believe In Nashville’ murals that started popping up after the big flood ten years ago. It’s since stood as a symbol of resilience and togetherness. We are heartbroken for our community after last night’s tragic tornado, but know that together we will rise up and rebuild again!! Grateful that our loved ones are safe, but our thoughts are with all those who have experienced loss.”
Chris Stapleton: “My wife & I are deeply saddened by last nights tragic events in Tennessee. Our thoughts & prayers are with our community. We can all help by donating directly to ( https://www.cfmt.org/story/middle-tennessee-emergency-response-fund/ ) Please give what you can. If it’s 10 cents or 10 dollars every bit helps.”

Brett Young: “We are thankful our family is safe, but our hearts are breaking for those affected.”
The Grand Ole Opry: “Our hearts are heavy for our Nashville community this morning. We were fortunate not to sustain any damage at the Opry House but many of our neighbors, friends and fans are coping with unimaginable loss. To support relief efforts, we encourage you to donate to @communityfoundationmidtn’s Emergency Response Fund at cfmt.org.”
Mitchell Tenpenny: “Sending prayers to all my friends, family and Nashville family going through this horrible tragedy. Praying for the families that have lost love ones and homes. To be honest I feel guilty not being home and being in New York right now. I’ll be home as soon as I can to help in anyway I can. In the meantime Nashville is doing what Nashville does. Everyone is coming together to help so I encourage anyone to do what ever they can to help rebuild our amazing city. God Bless and stay safe out there!
Michael Ray: “This picture says a thousand words!!! Can’t believe this, completely heart broken. Thank you to everyone that has and is reaching out. CP and I are ok and our bands and crews are ok. God pls be with our city and our fellow neighbors that are going through what is left of their homes and belongings and the families that have lost loved ones.
#nashvillestrong.”
Cassadee Pope: “Still in shock. I can’t believe our historical, inspiring, beautiful town has taken such a hit. I feel extremely lucky to be writing this. Unfortunately that’s not the case for some please text or post if anyone needs any help at all. We’ll rebuilt, no doubt, but we’ll rebuild faster together.”
