Dolly Parton On COVID-19: ‘The Light I Believe Is Gonna Dissolve The Situation’
Dolly Parton posted a video of hope today (3/27) from her Nashville home during this COVID-19 pandemic.
She started off the video singing ‘Dolly is climbing the stairway to heaven ’cause this virus has scared the h-e- double l out of us.”
Dolly added, “I’m not making light of the situation, well maybe I am because it’s the light I believe is gone dissolve the situation. I think that when this passes we’re gonna all be better people.”
She talked in the video about keeping a good attitude and added the comforting words, “Keep the faith it’s gonna be alright. God loves us.”
Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s.
