Today, Governor Charlie Baker asked that all travelers arriving in our state to self-quarantine for 14 days. The request goes into effect today.

Baker went on to say this order mainly concerns those arriving into Massachusetts by plane, or train to South Station. He strongly encouraged self-quarantine, and reported that pamphlets with guidelines will be handed out to travelers. The pamphlets will be distributed at rest stops, as well.

Also, starting today, digital highway signs with quarantine messages will be on display for drivers.

The Governor said, “I would call it at this point instruction and advisory. There is no enforcement at this point.”
