Jackson Blue

Weekdays 2pm-7pm

We all hate what is going on in the world right now. But there have been bright spots – inspirational stories and people getting creative to try to raise the mood during pretty dismal times. I love this mini-wave that is spreading: people putting together mini parades to give a morale boost to their communities.

These are put together as a safe way to say hello, reconnect, and celebrate communities while maintaining a safe social distance. Teachers from Northwest Elementary School in Leominster got together and in a line of cars drove their parade around to say hello to students and cheer them up. Other schools in Maryland, Missouri, and Ohio soon jumped on board and duplicated the idea. Check out the super cute video posted to social media of one of them:

In other cities and towns friends and communities have come together to throw birthday parades on children’s birthdays as well. I think it’s so nice seeing peoples spirits still so alive – from a socially appropriate distance, of course.
