Oh, yes. This happened.

We all know our favorite troubadour is the king of interpreting stories through song. And now the king of country music has been tapped to give his warm, laid-back signature spin on a children’s story. So, give yourself a break quarantining, and let George Strait take over reading a bedtime story to your children.

The First Lady of Texas, Cecilia Abbott’s Stars of Texas Storytime program, features Texas celebrities reading kid’s stories on Facebook Live. And let’s face it, who’s a bigger celebrity from Texas than Grammy Awarding winning George Strait! George was asked to read Never Ask a Dinosaur to Dinner by Gareth Edwards.

Can somebody grab me a blanket and cup of warm milk and a pillow? Let’s go George!

Lest we forget, George is ready to celebrate a birthday soon. Mark the date in your calendar: May 18th.
