Garth Brooks Tests ‘Negative’ For COVID-19 After Potential Exposure
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will be playing an online show on Facebook tonight (7/14) for fans and taking requests after the couple tested “negative” for the coronavirus.
The country power couple postponed an earlier online show on July 7th after the possible Covid exposure to someone on their team.
Garth said last night (7/13) on Facebook, “We all tested; everybody tested negative – including the possible exposure which ended up not being a possible exposure. It averted, as well. They tested negative, as well. So we’re back.”
He added, “I just miss getting to play. I think there’s some things you do for a living, and there’s some things you do to live. And I think…I think…that is what I do.”
The couple is still accepting requests for their rescheduled event but one rule applies – as Garth asked a couple weeks ago, any request has to be accompanied by a photo of you with a mustache (in honor of his late friend Emmett Gilliam whose birthday was 7/7 – the originally planned performance date – a man known for his distinctive signature ‘stache).
For inspiration, Trisha and Garth shared a photo of themselves sporting some impressive facial hair on Facebook.
The pair will be live tonight (7/14) (7:00pm ET, 6:00pm CT) to play requests.
