Country Community: How to Help Gloria from Woburn

It all started with a phone call….and now Gloria from Woburn has had more help than she ever could have imagined.

This is a local story and multiple people shared this one with me!

So here's what happened. There's a wonderful lady named Gloria who's lived at the same house in Woburn since 1969. Because she lives on a very limited income, a lot of the important things that she needed for the house weren't taken care of...because she didn't have the money to pay for it. But there was a spark in her electric box and she called a local electrician, John Kinney. He showed up, he saw the disrepair the home had fallen into, and stepped up in a major way.

He fixed her electric. He enlisted help of plumbers to fix Gloria's leaky kitchen sink, her toilet, and even her washing machine, which hadn't been working for many years.

John even found people to help clean all of the overgrown brush that had taken over the front and back of her house. Everyone did these things at cost and nothing more. But with all of the work the small but mighty crew has done, there's still more work to do. He's set up a donation page and he's hoping the public will step up and help him finish the job on Gloria's home.

As it stands right now she needs a new roof because it leaks every time it rains and critters have gotten inside.

Here's a big shout to John and all of his friends and colleagues who have stepped up in a big way for Gloria! And here's the facebook page to help her!
