Another 2020 Problem: We May Run Out of Hurricane Names?
The 2020 hurricane season is looking like it could be one of the most active seasons ever – and as a result, there’s a chance we could run out of hurricane names before the end of the year!
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting as many as 25 total named storms this year – and currently only 12 names are left on the 2020 list.
The final name on the list is Hurricane Wilfred. After that storms would be assigned letters from the Greek alphabet – Hurricane Alpha, Hurricane Beta, Hurricane Charlie, Hurricane Delta, and so on.
2020, the year we ran out of toilet paper and hurricane names….
