Starting on October 1st, stores in Boston will be charging a fee again for the distribution of plastic bags. The ban was lifted back in March when COVID-19 first broke to try and slow the spread.
Retailers are still allowed to file for exemption to use up the last of their inventory but must provide a decreasing inventory list each month. Consumers are being advised to bring their own reusable bags and to disinfect after each use.
More information about the ban can be found HERE.
