Getting ready for school was hard enough, now students need to prepare for classes at home. It’s tempting to wear those PJs all day and keep your video off, but here are a few tips to look sharp as you learn over Zoom.
Get ready as if you were actually going to class. Brush your hair, shower, and wear something that will look nice on camera (Skip the hoodie).
Even lighting is essential for video calls. You don't want to have half your face shaded out or so bright no one can see you.
If your class involves a lot of discussions, make sure you have a working mic. This could be the one built into your computer/ headphones or a mic purchased separately.
Use a clear solid colored background to avoid distraction. Keep it plain and simple.
