The Sky Bedazzles Tonight When The Moon Meets Mars!
Get ready for a new version of “Dancing with the Stars” tonight.
The radiant red planet, Mars, will be doing some moonwalking this evening, and close dancing with the harvest moon. The result should earn the dance partners a high score.
Mars has been very visible in recent weeks. And it’s shining brighter this month than it will again for nearly 15 years. The event will take place tonight in the eastern sky, after sunset. It should stay bright and visible until the sun comes up tomorrow.
According to EarthSky, the moon and Mars will climb highest after midnight, and then lay low in the west as dawn starts to color the eastern horizon on October 3.
The clouds will clear just in time tonight (for some) to see a great pairing of the Moon and Mars! pic.twitter.com/YGGA58cshf

The sky will clear today, and we should get a good view of Mars and the Harvest Moon tonight! Mars is almost at it's closest approach to Earth, so it will be shining bright. Can't miss it, the Red Planet will be almost right next to the Moon. #SkyShow #RedPlanet #Mars pic.twitter.com/xHs2ln2qLP
