Mars Makes It’s Closest Approach To Earth in 17 Years Tonight
Alright Stargazers! The next event to look to the skies for happens tonight… and it’s (accidentally) Halloween-themed. The planet Mars will be making it’s closest approach to Earth that it has in 17 years tonight.
Astronomers say it’ll appear in the sky as a “fiery, pumpkin-hued star.” So that little pumpkin in the sky you see tonight? Yup, that’ll be Mars. The planet won’t appear this bright in the night sky again until 2035 so if you’re interested in astronomy like I am, you might want to go out tonight and have a little peeksie.
